Stop hunting VP Sam Sumana

Sun, 27/11/2011 - 17:09 -- Admin.

Then of course, dear old Mayor Herbert George Williams’ arrival though unannounced has for the time being stopped many tongues wagging. He was rumored to have earlier left the shores of Sierra Leone under circumstances that are yet to be made clear. Did I hear someone say since Mayor Williams left the shores without announcing, he owes no one an apology for arriving back in Freetown without announcing? Well, well.

Stop counting

Worst of all, most people in the working class do not receive their salaries promptly. Some people are only paid their salaries five to ten days after the month ends.

Apart from that class of people, others have gone for months without receiving salaries.

The situation in Sierra Leone is very pathetic. Why are employers dragging their feet to pay people their meager salaries? Some people only use their salaries to pay debts and the delay in giving them such salaries is making matters worse.

Ariogbo loves you all

Talking about love, who is David Cameron to tell us to legalize same sex marriage? Does he think we can sell our culture for pittances? I pray our government does not succumb to the intimidation of or formal colonial masters. Or else, we will revert to being the slaves we were. And the next thing the white people will do is to ban all our traditional societies, including paddle, bondo, and Ariogbo. This is an affront to Africa.

See how time flies

And do you also know that your favourite Ariogbo is already inside its second month of operation? Time flies oh!

Although this Ariogbo is happy that the month ends fast, it is worried that judgment day is near. By the way things are going now, it seems like the world is being fast forward.

So please go near your God now, if you are still far away from him. And Mosques and Churches are gradually becoming empty, while evil thrives. This is fearful.

And this edition undoubtedly contains thrilling pictorials of the Paddle show. So for those of you who were not opportune to set eyes on Bra Paddle you have nothing to lose. Just open the paper.

We also bring you details about a looming sanitation disaster at the citadel of power, State House. If State House becomes a breeding ground for mosquitoes, is our beloved President safe?

Holiday don don; back to work

Tue, 08/11/2011 - 21:40 -- Admin.

Paddle has come and gone, and we will not have the opportunity to see it again until next year. Unlike we the Ariogbos and other colleagues in the masked devil category that do come out frequently for people to see us, Paddle comes out once every year. So if you did not have the opportunity to see it yesterday, then make it a date to see it next year.

Happy Eid-ul-Adha

Thu, 03/11/2011 - 02:25 -- Admin.

Humans must be wondering how come this Ariogbo knows so much about this Muslim holiday. Others are even questioning why is the Ariogbo observing a Muslim holiday?

Well, let me help you with the answers. I told you earlier that this Devil can read and write Arabic and English, which means he is abreast with most of the provisions of the Holy Quran and the Holy Bible.

Also, why not observe the holiday, especially so when it is going to be a government declared holiday? Do you think this Ariogbo is above the law? Duya nor gimme trouble ya.
